Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow within the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham. The successful candidate will support Professor Caitlin Milazzo, Head of School, in her research on elections, campaigns, and voting behaviour, and will help to manage the OpenElections Project (www.openelections.co.uk). 

The main responsibilities include:  

  • Collaborating in the drafting of research publications for internationally recognised journals;
  • Contributing to the dissemination of research findings at national/international conferences and through social media;
  • Contributing to the management and organisation of the OpenElections database and web platform; and
  • Assisting in funding applications to grant bodies.

Experience with undertaking research in the fields of elections, campaigns and/or voting behaviour, and an ability to analyse data using Stata and R are essential.

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Politics/Political Science or closely related subject. For further information about the post, including the criteria that will be used when shortlisting, please see the role profile.

This part-time (21.75 hours per week) post is available on a fixed term basis from 16th September 2024 to 8th September 2025.
