The University of Nottingham Business School (NUBS) is looking to recruit a Placements Officer to support the effective and efficient delivery of the Placement Year Programme within the school.

The Placement Year Programme at NUBS has achieved significant growth since its inception in 2019, with students achieving roles in a variety of businesses both nationally and internationally. It is therefore an exciting time to join the team in what is a brand-new role, to help continue the upward trajectory of the programme.

As Placements Officer, you will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Placement Year Programme. You will work alongside a variety of university colleagues, and external organisations to ensure that students have a positive experience both pre, post and during placement. You will also assist in the day-to-day administration of the Placements Year Programme, including attendance, supporting workshops/events, maintain and managing student mailboxes, ensuring the compliance of health and safety procedures, and marketing of the programme through newsletters, student blogs and other forms of media.

As such you will have strong organisational and time management skills to complete administrative and operational tasks, including experience of IT Packages such as Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Outlook. As this role will be both student and externally facing - candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with both students within the school, and also a variety of different stakeholders. You will also need to be proactive to finding better ways of working to help improve the programme moving forward, whilst also demonstrating flexibility to support the school on other areas of ESE (Education and Student Experience).

As a University employee, you will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and a highly attractive pension scheme.
