The School of Education at the University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a leading researcher and outstanding teacher in the field of education leadership and management. This is an opportunity to join an international group of colleagues interested in exploring the theory and practice of education, across all its dimensions, locally and globally, with a commitment to enhancing diversity, inclusion, and justice.

The School of Education is a leading centre for research and teaching, performing very well on a range of external measures. These reflect our commitment to our students’ educational experience, our world leading research and our engagement with diverse stakeholders such as schools, colleges, NGOs and professional associations. We have a long history of educating teachers at all levels for the UK and internationally, offering professional development programmes, and advanced studies in a wide range of focus areas. We have a number of internationally recognised research centres, research groups, international collaborations.

Working collaboratively in the Centre for Research in Educational Leadership and Management (CRELM), you will provide research leadership through supervision and mentoring of colleagues and postgraduate researchers, through leading on major research projects in your area of expertise, and through the dissemination of your findings in high quality outputs. Your research will contribute to strengthening existing strands of research in CRELM and other research groups and centres in the School. We are committed to engaging with our stakeholders about our research and have extensive knowledge exchange activities.

You will teach courses at various levels across the school on education leadership and management, general education theory and practice, research methodology, and have opportunities to develop new courses in your area of expertise. You will provide curriculum leadership and assist with the administration of our programmes. You will provide personal tutoring support to students and individual supervision of research at Masters and Doctoral level.

You will have a Doctoral degree (or equivalent experience) and relevant experience in a higher education context or equivalent research organisation. Experience of leadership in a school, college or other educational organisation will be an advantage.

This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours). Arrangements for job share may be considered.

Interviews will take place on 26th June and 3rd July.
