Applications are invited for a Technical Specialist/Researcher to work in the laboratory of Stem Cell Biology led by Prof. Ramiro Alberio.
The role holder will coordinate and manage the production of embryonic stem cells from different mammalian species commercialized by PluriCells for the cellular agriculture industry.
You will handle the day-to-day activities of the lab and will be responsible of commissioning new commercial lines to our customers.
Experience in planning and managing a laboratory is desirable, and good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. You will be responsible for implementing COSHH regulations, SOPs, upkeep of designated research laboratories and training students and staff.
You should have proven technical support experience, at a level which requires a minimum of supervision.
Candidates must hold a minimum HNC or equivalent, plus substantial work experience in a relevant role OR have a proven track record with extensive work experience in a relevant technical or scientific role and can work accurately and precisely.
The post is available from 1st January 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for three years. Hours of work are full time (36.25 per week), including regular weekend rotas. Job share arrangements may be considered.
