Business Science Fellowships is an established programme that offers the opportunity to develop experience of working at the interface of academia and business. The role provides an opportunity for suitably qualified individuals to develop further their business engagement, innovation and entrepreneurial skills while working on a specific set of knowledge exchange and industry related projects. Specifically, these Fellowships will focus on progressing a portfolio of business/industry related projects in the areas of analytical, synthetic organic and sustainable chemistry.
The successful applicant will work closely with companies and academics to develop and deliver collaborative research projects, market research, coordinate and deliver technical work and ensure all health and safety aspects of laboratory projects are considered.
Candidates must have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in chemistry or related discipline. Some experience of working on industry related projects and of research in the areas of analytical and/or synthetic organic chemistry will be an advantage.
The post is available from 1st March 2023 and will be offered as a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
