A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate/Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to join our team at the Nanoscale and Microscale Research Centre (nmRC) at the University of Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to microcrystal electron diffraction research at the nmRC and will utilise two new electron cameras funded via the EPSRC (EP/W006413/1).
We are looking for a highly motivated person to develop or lead this research area and support the development of Transmission Electron Microscopy within the nmRC. The role will be based at the nmRC which is a world leading analytical facility at the University of Nottingham. The nmRC provides state-of-the-art instrumentation and expertise in nanoscale characterisation, specialised sample preparation, and micro/nano-structure fabrication, for the benefit of all University of Nottingham researchers, external academic collaborators and industrial partners. The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information.
- A PhD awarded (or near to completion) in an area related to the engineering, physical or life sciences.
- The ability to build relationships and collaborate with others, both internally and externally.
This post is available immediately and offered on fixed term contract of 36 months. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week).
