Cleaner

Your role as a Cleaner: 

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who have a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service skills who will take pride in their work and who enjoy cleaning in a variety of areas. Based at either University Park, Jubilee Campus or at the Medical School within the Queens Medical Centre main duties include the general cleaning of offices, teaching spaces, laboratories, toilets, corridors, and stairwells providing excellent customer service at all times. Previous cleaning experience gained within a similar environment and the ability to work independently and as part of a team is desirable but not essential as full training will be given

Morning Posts: (Weekday- Mainly Monday to Friday)

  • Hours of work are 10 per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday between 615am and 815am- David Ross Sports Village- University Park) Flexibility will be required. 
  • Hours of work are 15 per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday between 6am and 9am- University Park/Jubilee Campus) Flexibility will be required. 

Evening Posts: (Weekday- Mainly Monday to Friday)

  • Hours of work are 15 per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday between 5pm and 8pm at Medical School- QMC) Flexibility will be required.
  • Hours of work are 15 per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday between 6pm and 9pm at David Ross Sports Village- University Park) Flexibility will be required. 
  • Hours of work are 15 per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday between 630pm and 930pm at Jubilee Campus) Flexibility will be required.

Due to the current cost of living issues our rates of pay are under review and the university will seek to ensure staff are appropriately rewarded in line with local employers and national guidance, advertised rates such as the weekend working allowance is subject to review/ removal following the review.

The successful candidate for this post will be expected to attend the Estates and Facilities training courses which will run each day, Monday to Friday mornings on the first week of appointment. Further details will be given at interview.
