The School of Health Sciences is leading a new, three year creative collaboration to bring evidence and local knowledge together to tackle health problems in the UK.
KNOW-PH (Knowledge for Public Health) is a new programme funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to help research make a difference to local and national public health decision making. We will be doing this with local and national government and local people.
We are looking for someone who can connect with people at the local level, who has an understanding of research and enjoys co-producing solutions to challenging problems. You will be tasked with supporting the management and administration of the programme and will be a core part of the KNOW-PH delivery team.
You may have a background in local governance, policy analysis, research impact work, knowledge exchange or voluntary sector research. Primarily, you should have a passion for supporting the movement of knowledge into local decision making and be open to creative practices. You will be excellent at documenting progress, have a skill for written and oral communication and have strong organisational skills. As a team of people with different backgrounds across the University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University you will be committed to equitable practice and the promotion of diversity and inclusivity.

This is a fixed-term post available until 31st October 2026. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) however applicants are welcome from candidate wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
