The University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Teaching Associate to undertake undergraduate teaching in the area of pharmacology as part of the Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Medicine, and MSc in Drug Discovery degrees in the School of Life Sciences 

You will co-convene and teach on the first year module Core Skills in Pharmacology in the Spring semester, and contribute to the delivery of workshops and practicals across all degrees at all levels. You will also contribute to marking of exams and coursework, including project dissertations. Depending on your experience, you may also supervise or co-supervise undergraduate or MSc project students.

You will have experience of teaching at Higher Education level with the ability to communicate with clarity on complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding, as well as to peers, using high level skills and a range of media. A PhD in Pharmacology or closely related discipline is required. The ability to teach pharmacokinetics is desirable, although not essential.

This is a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term opportunity available until 31st August 2024. Job share arrangements may be considered.
