Applications are invited for this new leadership post within the Medical Education Centre at Queens Medical Centre, University of Nottingham.

As Associate Professor of Medical Education and Advanced Practice 2 (AP2) Lead for UG Medicine (Nottingham and Derby), you will make a significant leadership contribution to the running of the BMBS providing guidance and academic support to students in the final phase of their undergraduate training, helping them to prepare for their final exams and transition to practice.  The AP2 phase covers 40 weeks of our new curriculum and runs annually from late September to late May, with the first cohort of students entering it in September 2023. Working closely with the AP lead for Lincoln, you will be responsible for finalising development and delivery of the AP2 curriculum in the Nottingham and Derby Hub Local Education Providers (LEPs) and will work closely with the AP attachment leads in each hospital. You will report to the Deputy Dean and Programme Director of the BMBS programme and the Dean of Education.

The post is available on a permanent contract. Hours of work are part-time at 8 hours (0.2 FTE), which can be undertaken flexibly. Precise contractual arrangements will be made upon appointment, but it is anticipated that the successful candidate will also be undertaking clinical duties at consultant or GP level in Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire.
