Salary:  £22,149 to £24,948 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to provide maternity leave cover and join our HR Central Support Services Team within the University’s Human Resources Department.  This role will be offered on a blended approach, working from home and our newly refurbished office based at King’s Meadow Campus.

Our vision is to provide responsive and quality customer service, and, therefore, we are growing.  You will be part of a professional administration team, sharing knowledge and your expertise as well as providing support to each other to deliver an efficient and effective service to the department and University.  You will have opportunity to work in a friendly and diverse environment where you can feel welcomed.

You will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks such as meeting scheduling and co-ordination, raising purchase orders and paying invoices, monthly reports, and asset register maintenance, as well as assisting with events, staff induction, and assisting the department Health and Safety Co-ordinator.

You will have GCSEs in English and mathematics at Grades A-C/9-4 (or equivalent). You will have proven IT skills including Office 365 (Word; Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint/Teams, Planner). In addition, you will have experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably within an HR function and be able to demonstrate organisational skills, attention to detail, good communication skills and proactive approach to work.

This post is to cover maternity leave and is offered on a fixed-time contract for one year.  Hours are full-time (36.25 hours per week). Normal working hours will be between 9.00 am - 5.15 pm Monday to Friday inclusive, however, flexibility may be required at times.  Please note that your initial induction will take place within our office at the King’s Meadow Campus.
