This role is based in the Researcher Academy, which works to promote a healthy research culture, to cultivate researcher excellence, and develop creative partnerships that enable researchers to flourish.
Our fellowship schemes are central to one of the key ambitions of our research strategy – to develop a research environment and culture that is inclusive, supportive and enables high-quality, high-performing research which you will be committed to advance.
The Fellowships Manager will support the delivery, implementation and evaluation of the University’s Anne McLaren and Nottingham Research Fellowship programmes. Our sector leading fellowship programmes aim to attract and retain talented academics and target outstanding early career researchers in many academic disciplines.
The role will lead strategic initiatives to maximise the University performance and success in external fellowship schemes. The role includes significant programme, project and budget management responsibility relating to the Fellowships schemes.
You will be an enthusiastic and dedicated person with excellent communication skills to enable you to provide support to prospective and current independent fellowship holders. You will also be responsible for building a community amongst the fellowship holders.
You will provide advice in relation to strategic and operational research planning, to ensure that fellows are supported and empowered to realise their potential.
To be successful in the role you will be an effective collaborator, working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver the fellowships programme. This includes senior leaders for research and knowledge exchange, human resources, research and researcher support staff and funding, and professional bodies.
This position is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), permanent contract. Job share arrangements may be considered. The place of work is on campus at the University of Nottingham and home working.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Connie Wan, Head of Researcher Leadership, at connie.wan@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
