The Financial Management Business Partnering Team have an exciting APM4 opportunity for someone to step into an Assistant Finance Manager role leading the Shared Service Team within Professional Services.
You will report to the Deputy Head of Finance for Professional Services and will lead and support a team of 5 people who, on a day-to-day basis, primarily support Estates, Nottingham Hospitality and CARO (plus other support to other Professional Service departments as required).
The Shared Services Team support Professional Services departments in a number of ways including registering of month end journals, preparation of pay reports, producing robust balance sheet reconciliations amongst many other varied activities.
The successful candidate will have experience of, or the ability to;
- Support, coach and develop members of the team
- Build relationships and influence stakeholders across an organisation
- Show attention to detail on a day to day basis
- Have experience of compiling monthly management accounts
- Analyse and explain variances to budget / forecast
As a trusted team leader, you will be driven to support and develop the team and to explore new ideas to embed a culture of continuous improvement. You will have the ability to offer and accept feedback in a constructive manner and undertake your work with integrity.

This is a full-time (36.25 hours), fixed term post to 28th February 2025. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
