The University of Nottingham is seeking a high calibre practitioner in technology transfer to be based within a new Innovation Hub in the Faculty of Science. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new initiative aimed at raising the level of engagement in invention, innovation and enterprise within a faculty which already performs well in this space, with a number of successful spin-out companies and revenue generating license deals and which is home to the invention of MRI.
The Hub-based team will consist of a Head of Innovation, Senior Innovation Executive, an Entrepreneur in Residence and a Professor of Practise in KE. The team will work in concert with the University's central Technology Transfer Office, with a particular focus on helping to deliver the faculty’s knowledge exchange strategic development plans, raising the profile of enterprise and innovation, identifying new technology disclosures, scoping out technology development plans and supporting translational funding bids and managing devolved proof of concept funds.
Reporting into the Head of Innovation, you will be qualified to at least graduate level in a relevant scientific discipline and will ideally have a relevant higher degree. You will be passionate about enterprise and innovation with demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills. You will need to be commercially aware with excellent time management and prioritisation.
