The Mechanical and Aerospace Systems (MAS) group requires a post-doctoral experimental researcher to support solid mechanics and dynamics experimental projects research across the group.
The Faculty of Engineering has an excellent international reputation for high quality theoretical and experimental research. The faculty is also dedicated to equality, diversity, and inclusion; it was the first engineering department in the UK to be awarded an Athena Swan Gold award for advancing gender equality in higher education. The role holder will work on projects that require experimental work and support in dynamics and vibration. The role holder may also be expected to support work on thermofluid experimental development within the group. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the programme of work is carried out in a robust, well-managed and well-documented manner.
Candidates must hold, a PhD in relevant subject and experience directly related to knowledge/experience topics. The ability to work in a team and interact/collaborate actively and professionally with industrial partners is essential.
This full-time (36.25 hour) post is available immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 24 months. Job share arrangements may be considered.
