This role provides an exciting opportunity for you to project manage two key programmes, the Herschel Programme for Women in Technical Leadership and a new Executive-level Strategic Technical Leadership Programme.
These programmes are part of a wider project, The UK Institute for Technical Skills and Strategy, a brand new entity funded by Research England with a national reach. The new institute builds on the Technician Commitment and the TALENT programme, which have become the catalysts for advancing the landscape and culture for the technical community. It will work in partnership with a network of organisations across UK higher education and research.
The role holder will work with internal and external stakeholders across the Institute, including developing a strong working relationship with programme delivery leads and delegates. The key deliverables are to deliver the two programmes to plan and within budget, as part of an annual programme cycle. Activities within this will include programme recruitment, process management, reporting and creating/updating project plans. Working with communications and marketing colleagues will also be important to promote applications to the programme and communicate with delegates throughout.
Candidates should have experience of project management. Candidates should have a relevant degree or professional qualification level or have equivalent experience in a similar or related role.
