UK Institute for Technical Skills and Strategy Project Officer (Fixed term)


Location:  Jubilee Campus
Salary:  £26,396 to £32,348 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We are looking to appoint a Project Officer to provide high level administrative support for the UK Institute for Technical Skills and Strategy (ITSS).  

The overall purpose of the role is to provide project administrative support to the day to day delivery of the project. This will include the implementation of administrative procedures, keeping accurate and up to date records for our funders and the project team and liaising with key partners across the Institution and the University. You will work closely with the project managers and administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of the project. The role will report to the Institute Project Manager.

ITSS is a brand new UK Institute, which focuses on technical skills and strategy across the UK higher education and research sector. It will undertake research, influence key stakeholders and test new projects to support and grow UK technical capability and capacity.

Candidates should be educated to A-level or equivalent with a minimum standard of C grade GCSE English and Mathematics, plus considerable experience in a similar role.

This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026. The post is available from 1 August 2023. Hours are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered. Please state in your application if you wish to be considered for that option.
