The University of Nottingham invites applications for the position of Faculty Operations Director within the faculty of Engineering.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the University’s senior professional services leadership team, helping bring together the interests of the faculty and the institution as a whole. You will bring effective leadership, coordination and delivery of professional services in alignment with wider University colleagues and strategies. This role works closely with the deputy registrar and other faculty operations directors and is critical to enabling a joined up, consistent and coordinated delivery of central and local Professional Services to enhance the quality and efficiency of the Professional Services team within the faculty.

You will work with the Faculty Pro-Vice Chancellor and the leadership team within the faculty to drive, develop and implement faculty based strategy in the context of the University strategy. You will deliver change and be responsible for leading the team of administrative, professional and managerial (APM) and technical services (TS) colleagues whilst supporting academic and research colleagues. The role provides an opportunity to make a real impact at our University to help us continue to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of Higher Education.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract until 28/02/2027. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
