Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) is an international leader in finance and management education with ambitious plans for its future. It is the only business school in the UK to hold triple accreditation from AACSB International for its operations on every campus (UK, China and Malaysia). NUBS is also one of the select few business schools in the world that hold ‘triple crown’ accreditation –AACSB in the United States, AMBA in the UK, and EQUIS in Europe. The School is set to make a significant investment in its staff, students and research, as well as expanding its operations to the new Castle Meadow Campus in Nottingham city centre.

We believe that we thrive when we are connected. We are therefore seeking a strategic and creative leader who can imagine and deliver new ways for NUBS and Nottingham alumni working in business across the globe to support each other. You will ensure that we provide our graduates with a truly valuable programme of communications and engagement opportunities. Thinking strategically, you will identify opportunities for alumni to contribute their time and expertise to the success of NUBS. You will build relationships with a wide range of people across diverse international cultures, and be willing to travel internationally up to 4 times per year as the need arises, confidently delivering events and acting as the most senior representative of the University.

You will have a strong understanding of the needs of people working in business but experience in Higher Education is not essential. You will provide leadership for a small team in the Campaign & Alumni Relations Office who focus on working with NUBS; and work with colleagues at our campuses in China and Malaysia to make the most of our unique tri-country footprint. The role currently carries responsibility for the line management of one colleague.

We welcome applications from everyone and we value the varied perspectives and experiences a diverse team can bring. We offer leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and a highly attractive pension scheme.

This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Alan Kennedy, Director of Alumni & Supporter Engagement at alan.kennedy@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
