Your role as Hall Porter
You will be the first point of contact for students and visitors to the Halls of residence providing assistance and excellent customer service at all times. You will maintain the security and safety of buildings including coordinating the evacuation of buildings in case of Fire, liaising with internal and external departments including Security Services. You will also work with our residential experience team to ensure student welfare advice and support is provided as required. Small scale maintenance tasks would form part of your duties, training will be provided.

The successful candidate for this post will be expected to attend the Estates and Facilities training courses which will run each day, Monday to Friday mornings on the first week of appointment. Further details will be given at interview.
Positions Available:
Post 1 - Nights - 36.25 Hours - 7 shifts per 14 days, working between 8pm - 8am (alternate weekends) - £24,386 to £24,921 (Inclusive of the 20% additional payment for hours worked between 10pm and 6am Monday to Sunday and hours worked on a Saturday and Sunday outside of these hours) REF:NHE104
Post 2 - Evenings - 36.25 Hours - 5 shifts per 7 days, working between 4pm - 12am (alternate weekends) - £22,498 to £22,990 (Inclusive of the 20% additional payment for hours worked between 10pm and 6am Monday to Sunday and hours worked on a Saturday and Sunday outside of these hours) REF:NHE105
Posts will initially be offered at the minimum salary point with progression to the higher salary point achieved through an annual incremental pay rise.
