We are looking to recruit an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor in Computer Vision to the School of Computer Science, to complement our strengths and support the Computer Vision Laboratory.

The Computer Vision Laboratory is an established research group based in the School of Computer Science on Jubilee Campus, Nottingham, UK.  We develop and apply cutting edge computer vision and machine learning techniques across a range of application areas, including biology, human-focussed and medical applications. We are particularly keen to grow the areas of bioimage analysis, medical image analysis and 3D analysis.

Both roles will undertake research, individually and collaboratively, taking the lead on planning and running projects to complement the existing research of the laboratory and School. You will seek and secure funding through the development of research proposals and be active in research and knowledge exchange projects both internally and externally.

You will have the ability to deliver a high standard of teaching through a variety of methods to support the School’s teaching requirements. You will also be responsible for the development of content and structure of existing and new modules as part of the overall curriculum.

In addition to the above, as an Associate Professor you would act as the principal investigator on major research projects, interpret and review research project outcomes and contribute to curriculum leadership. You will have a substantial and growing international reputation in Computer Vision and will make a significant impact on research and teaching.

See our recruitment microsite (https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/jobs/currentvacancies/computer-science-opportunities/index.aspx) for more information on our School’s vision, research strengths, and role within the University strategy.

We believe that world-class, multidisciplinary and diverse teams will deliver the highest quality teaching, research and student experience. Our vision as a School is to be highly rated in all areas; Research and Knowledge Exchange, Education and Student Experience. We are equally committed to creating opportunities for people from groups traditionally under-represented in the field of Computer Science. At the University of Nottingham, we aim to give you all the support you need to nurture your talent, develop, and reach your professional and personal career goals.
