Research Finance Manager
Applications are invited for the role of Research Finance Manager in the School of Life Sciences to manage a portfolio of research funding activity from the application stage (pre-award) to the setting up of and monitoring of live projects (post-award). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in financial management to join the School’s dynamic Research Development Team and contribute to the exciting Life Sciences research that takes place at the University of Nottingham.
You should have excellent numeracy and communication skills and be adept at solving problems and making independent decisions. You should work well as part of a team and also have some leadership or management experience (formal line management experience is not essential). You should have knowledge and understanding of the research funding landscape, producing costings and managing budgets. Previous experience working in research management or within the higher education sector is desired but not essential.

The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), permanent contract. However, we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements. Job share arrangements may be considered.
