The University of Nottingham are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Head of Performance Netball to join our team to develop and deliver the performance strategy for Netball  in line with the emerging UoN Vision for Sport with the aim of ensuring sustained performance success and outstanding student experience across the Netball  club. 

You will lead a team of coaches to build a culture of success within the Netball  program grounded on the University values of ambition, inclusivity, openness, fairness and respect.

Key responsibilities include leading on the design and delivery of an effective and innovative performance training program on a day to day basis and managing assistant coaches to support this delivery. You will also be working closely with the multidisciplinary performance support service team (such as Strength and conditioning, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Sports psychology and sports science and medicine) to ensure effective athlete-centred development. 

The successful candidate will be required to develop an strategic approach to athlete recruitment, and lead on BUCS and other relevant competition selection, coaching and tactical preparation to maximize performance. 

To drive the highest quality delivery for students, you will have experience of operating in talent development and performance pathways in netball as a player or coach and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the technical, tactical and psychological skills and fitness levels required for players to succeed at international level in netball. 

You will possess a minimum of UKCC or equivalent coaching qualification at level 2 or above and a TALS qualification would be desirable. You will be an individual who has an understanding of the challenges facing dual career athletes and engages collaboratively with the wider team to develop the program in a positive, forward thinking manner. 

This post will be offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), permanent contract. Due to the nature of sporting delivery, the successful applicant will be required to work at evenings and weekends as part of the training and competition program.
