Research Associate/Fellow (Fixed term)
The purpose of this role will be to assist and support the Neuroinformatics research team in carrying out neuroimaging analysis, run simulations, and drafting reports. The research fellow will perform the processing of neuroimaging data, network analysis of derived brain connectivity data, and simulations of network changes.
Accurate early and subtype diagnosis of the underlying neurodegenerative cause is becoming increasingly important for ensuring that future disease-modifying treatments can be targeted in individuals before substantive neurodegenerative deficits have occurred.
Going beyond machine learning subtype classification, our study aims to develop a simulation-based model of disease progression that can become a standard clinical tool to predict future disease progression of individual patients and to facilitate early treatment of the disease leading to improved outcomes for patients and reduced overall healthcare costs.
You will join an established team, led by Professor Marcus Kaiser, whose main areas of research interest include computational models to inform diagnosis and intervention of brain disorders.
This role is available on a fixed term basis until 31/12/2022. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Marcus Kaiser email marcus.kaiser@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
