Applications are invited for the position of Recruitment Coordinator within the JobZone Team, which is part of the University’s Careers and Employability Service, located in the Portland Building on University Park campus.

The successful candidate will join a large, sector-leading professional service dedicated to enhancing employability for students, graduates, and local talent. Our service collaborates across all three UK campuses, combining the skills and expertise of teams working with students, academics, employers, and enabling teams to deliver consistently high-quality, professional services.

Key responsibilities include supporting the recruitment of temporary staff for various University departments and external clients, taking job briefs from managers, advertising roles on the UniCore platform, sourcing candidates via multiple channels, conducting in-person, email, and telephone screenings, and ensuring candidates are registered for payroll and meet all work eligibility requirements. The role also requires providing exceptional customer service to both candidates and hiring managers, ensuring the recruitment process is seamless and efficient. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and excellent customer service skills are essential, with experience or an understanding of recruitment processes being desirable.

This is a part-time position for 21.75 hours per week across 3 days, fixed term until 31st July 2025. Hybrid working is available, with the successful candidates expected to spend at least 60% of their contracted hours on campus. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

Our university is a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive community. We welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs – indeed this very diversity is vital to our success, it is fundamental to our values and enriches life on campus.
