We are seeking an enthusiastic Governance Officer to join Governance and Executive Services. We are looking for someone who has the transferable skills to be able to the make most of this opportunity. 

In this position, you will play a key role providing essential administrative support for the Governance team, so we would expect you to have a keen interest in administration and governance.

What can you expect? A friendly and supportive team working in a fast paced and professional environment, committed to the continual improvement in the standards of the delivery of governance services. Our team shares a passion for governance, but what helps us succeed are the different ideas and experiences of our people, who come from a mix of cultures and backgrounds. 

You will provide support to governance processes, maintaining records for centrally supported committees, assisting with the collation and circulation of papers. You will provide administrative support for effectiveness reviews, and will service a number of committees or working groups. 

What are we looking for? Your attention to detail will be important and you will need good communication skills. You will be a proactive, self-motivated individual who is able to work flexibly and respond appropriately to changing priorities. You will be a team player who is very organised. You will have some experience of committee servicing, including minute taking.

The post is offered on a permanent, full-time (36.25 hours per week) contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.
