Learning design officer at the University of Nottingham Online

Are you passionate about learning? Do you know how to apply design thinking to solve problems creatively? Would you like using your skills to help our learners achieve their goals? Then why not apply to be a learning design officer with the University of Nottingham Online (UoNO)?

The UoNO is a new initiative for the University and one of the key vehicles by which it will achieve its ambition of becoming ‘a university without borders’. Focusing on competency-based learning, UoNO creates the relevant and engaging digital content needed to deliver best-in-class professional and life-long learning courses online.

UoNO is offering two positions in our content team. As a learning design officer, you will join a small team of experienced digital content developers with a passion for online learning. You will work with the team to help develop UoNO’s learning products, using your skills in the development of learning packages. You will be supported with the time, tools and infrastructure you need to develop your pedagogical and design thinking skills further in a fully online learning context. As a member of the UoNO team you will receive mentoring and coaching from our senior leaders to enable you to grow further in your role and maximise your potential.

To apply for the role please submit a short statement (no more than 800 words) setting out how you meet the requirements as set out in the role profile, why you think you are the right person for this position and how you think your work as a learning design officer will enhance the learning experience of our learners at the University of Nottingham Online. Your statement may include links to your learning design portfolio.

The post is offered on a permanent, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Marlies Gration, email Marlies.Gration1@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
