The School of Geography at the University of Nottingham is committed to being a globally leading centre for the creation, dissemination, and application of geographical knowledge and understanding. As part of this commitment, the School is delighted to invite applications for a fixed term Teaching Associate post in the area of quantitative human geography, based on University Park Campus.

Applications are particularly welcome from those with experience of using GIS and / or ArcGIS or QGIS, R, and with advanced competency in Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will be expected to teach tutorials and a range of modules including Interpreting Geographical Data and Techniques in Human Geography. Candidates should have, or be demonstrably close to submitting, a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area, or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience.

The role holder will be involved in the development of new teaching and assessment practices and/or developing systematic methods for evaluating and disseminating these practices within the School.

This fixed-term, full-time role is available from September 2024 until 31st January 2026. Job share arrangements may be considered.
