Teaching Associate (fixed term)
The School of Geography at the University of Nottingham is committed to being a globally leading centre for the creation, dissemination, and application of geographical knowledge and understanding. As part of this commitment, the School is delighted to invite applications for a fixed term maternity cover post, covering GIS and Earth Observation teaching, based on University Park campus.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach modules ranging from Earth Observation and Introduction to Geographical Information Systems, to Spatial Decision Making and Geospatial Technologies: Mobile, Augmented and Virtual. Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area, or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience.
The role holder will be involved in the development of new teaching and assessment practices and/or developing systematic methods for evaluating and disseminating these practices within the School.
The post is offered on a fixed term contract from September 2025 until 30th June 2026. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
