We are looking to recruit one or more Transitional Assistant/Assistant/Associate Professors to the School of Computer Science to further enhance our successful and growing department.

We are seeking Computer Scientists to grow and complement our existing research and knowledge exchange strengths, as well as to add new capabilities. We have research strengths in Optimization, AI and Data Science with a successful track record on inter-disciplinary research, and particularly welcome applications that align to these areas. 

The role holder will bring expertise on AI, data science and optimization, to undertake world-leading research, secure external funding, and deliver high-quality impact. They will contribute to the COL Research Lab on decision focused learning, predict and optimize, machine learning optimization, general artificial intelligence, and other emerging topics.

A Transitional Assistant Professor will be a promising early career researcher developing a national reputation. An Assistant Professor will have a developing international reputation with success in external funding. An Associate Professor will have an established international reputation with strong track record on external funding and knowledge exchange.

The role holder will undertake research publishing high-quality research papers and other impactful outputs. They will secure funding by developing high-quality research proposals. They will generate and participate in research and knowledge exchange projects. They will have the ability to deliver a high standard of teaching within your area of expertise and other computer science topics. They will have the skills and experience to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.

This is a permanent position. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 18.25 hours per week).
