Applications are invited for the role of Education and Student Experience (ESE) Manager (Ongoing Student Support) based in the Faculty of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of higher education in science and to support the development of an excellent student experience.

The role holder will support the successful delivery of the education and student experience elements of the Faculty's Strategic Plan, contributing to the development of processes to continually improve the service provided to both students and staff.

You will analyse data related to inclusivity and widening participation, working with the Head of ESE, the Faculty and School ESE teams and School academic leads to identify opportunities to improve the student experience. After initiatives have been agreed, you will support and/or manage the resulting projects to completion. Excellent communication and relationship management skills will be crucial as you will collaborate with students, and with academic and professional services staff, proactively engaging all stakeholders.

Along with a passion for exploring new ideas and innovative teaching and learning, applicants should have proven experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders and be self-motivated to manage and deliver projects with minimal supervision. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication, IT, planning and negotiating skills, as well as an analytical approach to problem solving. An understanding of the higher education sector and the issues universities currently face is also desirable.

You will receive a generous holiday entitlement and a benefits package including a contributory pension scheme.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract until 6 May 2025. Hours of work are part-time (21.75 hours per week).
