We are seeking an experienced and well-organised Senior Administrator to join our Business Operations Team on a part time basis. This is a great opportunity to be part of a busy, supportive team and to play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient delivery of the Academic Registrar’s Division (ARD). 

 

The Role 

You will provide a broad range of administrative and operational support activities, ensuring the smooth and effective running of business processes.  Working with a degree of autonomy, you will support planning, coordination and service delivery across the team. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing high‑level administrative support to managers, teams and committees. This will also include providing executive support to the ARD Leadership Team. 
  • Coordinating administrative processes and maintaining accurate records and documentation  
  • Supporting routine financial, HR and resource processes in line with the department and university procedures  
  • Preparing reports, correspondence and standard management information, as required 
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, resolving queries and escalating issues as appropriate  
  • Contributing to the review and improvement of administrative systems and ways of working  
  • Supporting projects and activities that enhance operational effectiveness within the Business Operations Team 

 

About You 

You will have significant experience in an administrative or operational role within a complex organisation, with the ability to manage your own workload and priorities effectively. You will work confidently with colleagues at all levels and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering a high‑quality service. 

  • Relevant experience in an administrative role involving coordination, record‑keeping and stakeholder support 
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail 
  • The ability to work independently, using initiative while following established procedures 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Confidence using standard IT systems, including spreadsheets, databases and document management tools 
  • A flexible, collaborative and customer‑focused approach

This is a permanent position. Your working hours will be 20 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday inclusive, with Wednesday being our team day on campus.
