The University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Primary and Partnerships Officer to join its Widening Participation and Outreach team. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage young people in learning, increase their awareness and understanding of higher education, and support their aspirations for the future.

Working alongside your Primary and Partnerships colleagues, you will be crucial in designing and delivering the University’s outreach programmes to local primary schools. In addition, you will be supporting the programmes delivered by our partner organisation IntoUniversity, which are aimed at both primary and secondary-aged audiences.

This role is suitable for someone with an enthusiasm for working with young people, who also has relevant experience in this area. You will exhibit strong interpersonal and organisational skills, be able to develop innovative activities, and evidence independent, creative thinking. You will be a team player, with the ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders. Your IT skills will underpin every aspect of the role, allowing you to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.

The role will involve travel to local primary schools and also IntoUniversity Nottingham centres. Therefore, you must have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

This is a permanent, full-time (36.25hrs/week) post. Based at our King's Meadow Campus, the department supports hybrid working with arrangements agreed locally. In practice this means the team balances the working week with some time spent on campus, delivering in schools or at local IntoUniversity centres, and some time spent working from home to support flexibility. You will be expected to work the occasional evening and weekend event.

As part of the wider team, you will be invited to support activities such as open days and clearing, and to contribute towards our collaborative working groups which focus on important topics such as equality, diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability.

Interviews are set to take place on Monday 30th September.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Nick Orchard (Nick.Orchard@nottingham.ac.uk). Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

It is a condition of this post that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the 'Disclosure and Barring Service'.
