The Student Recruitment Events team is looking for an Events Assistant to join its passionate, creative and dedicated team.

The role is perfect for someone who is looking to begin a new career in event management as it will involve all aspects of delivering the highest quality events, giving the role holder the chance to gain experience and knowledge across a variety of activities and disciplines.

The Student Recruitment Events team is responsible for delivering the largest events that take place at the university - Undergraduate Open Days. It also delivers Offer Holder Days, Campus Tours, Postgraduate events and virtual events as part of a busy calendar to showcase the university to prospective students.

The Events Assistant role will be hands-on helping to deliver all of these events, as well as undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support the planning stages. This will include financial tasks, customer service, stakeholder engagement and liaison and providing support where needed to the Head of Student Recruitment Events and the Event Managers.

We are looking for someone with a solution focused, customer centric attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to communicate with a wide ranging audience both orally and in writing. They should be highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage their own workload efficiently.

The nature of this work requires working outside of normal working patterns at evenings and weekends on a semi-regular basis. 

The post is offered on a permanent, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract.
