Are you an experienced and intuitive communications professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have a thorough understanding of developing and implementing effective communications and engagement activities to diverse audiences? If so, the University of Nottingham has a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Communications and Advocacy team, where enthusiasm, good humour and an appetite for varied and challenging work are a must. 

You will manage our excellent Student Communications Team, ensuring students on our UK campuses receive the information they need, at the times they need it, on the platforms convenient to them. From helping students to prepare to join the university, to making sure they get the most out of their graduation – and everything in between – you will be a passionate advocate for the student experience.  

Essential skills include: 

  • Experience in planning, developing and delivering communications strategies for diverse audiences. 
  • Development of robust communications plans to ensure timely and high-quality communications and engagement. 
  • Using analytics to measure campaign impact and make improvements on an annual cycle.  
  • Ability to map audiences and explain complex issues in a clear, concise, engaging language. 
  • Excellent planning skills and the ability to balance conflicting deadlines and multiple priorities, ensuring that campaigns are completed to deadline.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). The University supports hybrid working. Arrangements can be agreed locally with your line manager. Job share arrangements may be considered.
