Community Engagement Manager
The Community Engagement Manager (Social Responsibility) is crucial for developing strong, positive relationships between the university, its students, and the local community. This dynamic role focuses on promoting social responsibility, enhancing community cohesion, and ensuring harmonious coexistence.
You'll be responsible for proactively addressing student behaviour in the community, implementing preventative strategies, and skilfully managing conflicts. Collaboration with public services, the Students' Union, and external stakeholders is key. You'll also provide essential signposting support to students.
This pivotal position requires a driven, independent thinker who can effectively balance the interests of the university, its students, and the local community, all while promoting positive wellbeing and responsible behaviour. You'll also deputise for the Head of Community Engagement as needed.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent or have a proven track record of relevant work experience demonstrating a deep and specialised knowledge of community engagement. You will also have experience of managing the successful delivery of concurrent projects with competing priorities working under pressure to meet strict deadlines and have experience of dealing with students/young people offering support as appropriate.

This role covers multiple campuses including our Sutton Bonington Campus and off campus Halls.
Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week) working 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. This role will be required to work weekends and evenings.
