Applications are invited for the above post based at Royal Derby Hospital.  

You will provide high quality teaching and contribute to the planning, design and development of objectives and materials for innovative degree programmes in the area of human physiology with particular focus on respiratory and reproductive physiology.

You will act as a module leader for a range of modules and contribute to development of delivery and assessment modes across BSc in Medical Physiology and Therapeutics and the MBBS Graduate Entry Medical programme. You may also work with the first year of our six-year MBBS Medicine with a Foundation Year (widening participation) course.

You will make a significant contribution to your academic unit/platform via leadership and/or administrative management and/or co-ordination of specific initiatives.

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in relevant medical or biomedical speciality subject area, extensive experience within human physiology teaching and/or research and experience and demonstrated success in delivering teaching within an agreed quality framework. Candidates must have the ability to devise, advise on and manage learning and research programmes, the ability to use a range of delivery techniques and technologies to inspire and engage students, and ability to manage projects relating to own area of work and the organisation of external activities

The post will be offered as a full-time permanent post. The hours and days of work will be 36.25 hours spread over 5 days per week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
