Clinical Trial Manager (Fixed-term)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trial Manager to join our vibrant and multidisciplinary team at NIHR MindTech HealthTech Research Centre, based at Jubilee Campus. The role holder will work across multiple research studies, including managing the real-world evaluation of the ORBIT intervention as part of a new three-year NIHR grant. 

The role holder’s primary responsibility will be to work with trial principal investigators on all aspects of trial delivery. They will have responsibility for trial governance, set-up and delivery, including line management of study research assistant. They will also have responsibility for the trial master file and writing reports to the trial sponsor and other stakeholders. 

You must have experience of clinical research, as well as knowledge and experience of applying for NHS Ethical approval. Experience of mental health research would be desirable. You will have a proven ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and to work collaboratively with academic and administrative colleagues. 

This role will involve some contact with young people and their families and therefore the post holder will be required to obtain satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), in line with the University’s code of research conduct and research ethics.

The post will be offered as a fixed-term position, available until 30th June 2027. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may also be considered.
