Applications are invited for an Apprenticeship Skills Tutors to play a critical role within the Institute for Professional & Workbased Learning, supporting learners and employers throughout their programme.

Development of Apprenticeship provision is of strategic importance to the University and we have a comprehensive suite of programmes across our Faculties. We partner with a range of organisations from blue chip, global companies, to local SMEs to deliver teaching and learning to apprentices all over England. To help us to continue to deliver the highest quality teaching and learning, and an excellent student experience, we seek a candidate with experience of supporting skills acquisition (for example in teaching, training or apprenticeships) who can combine their learner-focused approach, and their knowledge and experience of the skills agenda with our outstanding research-led teaching to deliver a truly exceptional offer to industry.

The successful person will join a well-respected, effective and friendly team and will manage a portfolio of learners across a range of apprenticeships, working closely with the academic team and employers to deliver Tripartite Reviews, set action plans, help learners to build their portfolio, and work towards a successful End Point Assessment. Experience of working within one of our priority sectors (Data & Digital, Engineering, and Biomedical & Health) would be advantageous. They will need to develop good internal relationships, become familiar with the programmes we offer, and ensure that robust evidence is collated to meet the DfE Funding Rules and to satisfy Ofsted.

In return, they will be supported in developing their career, allowing them to progress towards their career goals in a friendly, flexible environment. We are able to offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme. The successful applicants will also have access to excellent sport, leisure and childcare facilities across our campuses.  The team works in a hybrid fashion; from home with regular on-campus days in Professional Service Hubs.

This is a permanent, full time post (36.25 hours per week).
