This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented Senior Project Officer to join the Power Electronics, Machines and Drives Research Group (PEMC) at the University of Nottingham and become a core member of a diverse group of research, technical and professional staff working towards advancing electrification technologies for sustainable future transport and energy conversion solutions.  

The PEMC group is a leading research group in its field delivering significant projects in collaboration with industry partners. The role holder will join the PEMC group, on Jubilee Campus and support in the delivery of the group’s ambitious research and development programmes. The Senior Project officer will deliver project administration and manage internal coordination supporting to assist in the pace and level of outreach with internal and external stakeholders. Here are some examples of the type of expertise we are looking for, however this list is not exhaustive and exclusive:  

  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to work to tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to manage and organise a large portfolio. 
  • Experience of managing, monitoring and administering multiple projects. 
  • Ability to develop, plan and manage the organization of events and workshops appropriate to the delivery of the project 
  • Evidence of meeting agreed targets and outputs 
  • Experience of managing, monitoring and reporting on budgets. 

Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) or relevant work experience. 

The post is offered on a fixed term contract for 24 months, with continuation subject to growth in the research area. Hours of work are full time, 36.25 hours per week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
