Research Associate/Fellow (FTC)
The Nottingham Transportation Engineering Centre (NTEC) is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate/Fellow for a full-time position in the high-resolution chemical characterisation of bitumen for a period of 8 months. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with NTEC’s internationally recognised academic team on various projects focused on the development and laboratory assessment of future paving materials. The successful candidate will have the chance to engage in the development of novel research methods, extend their research portfolio and contribute to the evolution of technologies associated with bitumen and asphalt technology. Working closely with industry and agency partners, the role holder will ensure that research outcomes influence future developments and widespread use.
In this capacity, the Research Associate/ Fellow will be expected to prepare high-quality research outputs and grant proposals, including publications in leading journals and other relevant platforms. Candidates should hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field from a research-led university. Advanced knowledge in bitumen chemist is highly desirable.
This is a full time, FTC position.
