In this position, you will play a key role providing an essential administrative service for the DTS Directors and wider Senior Leadership Team. On a day to day basis, this will include diary management for the Directors and also providing essential governance and meeting support (from agenda preparation, securing logistics to minuting and following up actions).

As an Executive Officer, you will also assist in providing day to-day administration support for the wider DTS team, responding efficiently and proactively to multiple, varied incoming tasks, including managing confidential enquiries, diary management, logistics, finance (ordering/processing) and supporting departmental events.

You will be confident and articulate, able to adopt a proactive and independent approach to prioritising your own work, as well as being a team player who thrives in a busy, pressurised environment but still delivers to high quality standards. You are an excellent communicator, able to work at ease with colleagues at all levels and across university teams. You will also be excited about continuous improvement and working with the wider team to implement and develop effective administrative processes that ensure the smooth running of the department.

As the successful candidate, you will have a good standard of general education to A Level or NVQ standard, plus relevant experience in a senior administrative role with excellent IT skills. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail, as well as a high level of enthusiasm for the role.

At the University of Nottingham, we aim to give you all the support you need to nurture your talent, develop and reach your professional and personal career goals. We are committed to providing competitive employment packages whilst supporting the well-being of our staff to help them reach their full potential. As a University employee, you will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and an attractive pension scheme.
