Salary:  £22,149 to £24,948 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

To support our continued success, we are recruiting 2 Operations Officers (Education and Student Experience (ESE) focus & Operations) to join our teams in the School of Politics & International Relations (SPIR) and the School of Sociology & Social Policy (SSP).  

As Operations Officer, you will be part of an integrated team with responsibility for providing operational and administrative support for a range of School/Faculty processes and activities, with a primary focus on supporting ESE and Core Operations. 

You will:

  • Support the smooth and efficient delivery of ESE-related operations, ensuring that established operational processes are adhered to, and support academics in the delivery of their ESE-related activity
  • Have opportunities to contribute to initiatives and longer-term projects
  • Support the smooth and efficient delivery of core operations, ensuring that established processes are adhered to and that academics and senior professional services colleagues are supported in the delivery of their duties

You will need good interpersonal skills, work well in a team, be organised, flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment. As someone who learns quickly, is proactive and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, you will help drive forward improvements and deliver excellent service.  In return we will support your development and put in place a personal training programme to help you progress in your career.

These positions are offered on a permanent basis. 

The SSP role hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours). However, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).

The SPIR role hours of work are part-time (14.50 hours).
