Are you looking for a role which balances operational and strategic activities, giving you the chance to develop and deliver our ambitious plans for the Haydn Green Institute and Ingenuity Programme to support impact driven entrepreneurship?

As Senior Business Development and Ingenuity Programme Manager, you will be part of the Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) Professional Services leadership team and will be responsible specifically for business development for the Haydn Green Institute and leadership of the Ingenuity Programme. This is a fantastic opportunity in which you will:

  • Leverage existing relationships with national and local external stakeholders to develop, deliver and evaluate new services and opportunities for impact based start-ups
  • Support efforts to build and maintain long-term business relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Support the establishment of an Ingenuity Programme advisory board, consisting of internal stakeholders from HGI, NUBS and UoN as well as external industry leaders.
  • Establish and maintain services to support the Haydn Green Institute’s strategic priorities
  • Lead the strategic development and delivery of the Ingenuity Programme
  • Provide leadership and line management for the Ingenuity Programme Team

The Haydn Green Institute (HGI) is at the forefront of creating a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Nottingham. With entrepreneurial education taught by both academics and business experts at undergraduate and postgraduate level - as well as the university's start-up hub, the Ingenuity Lab - HGI provides a stimulating and supportive experience for the budding entrepreneur (www.nottingham.ac.uk/enterprise).

The Ingenuity Programme began in 2016 as a business plan competition for the student and graduate population of HGI and the wider University of Nottingham. In 2019, we expanded into the wider university community, working externally across the Midlands, Malaysia and China, and were joined by our first university partner, the University of Warwick. Today, the Ingenuity Programme works with over 40 university, corporate, third sector and SME partners across the UK and focuses solely on creating businesses with impact. (www.ingenuityimpact.org).

If you are looking for the next step in your career, this is a great opportunity to shape the future of HGI and the Ingenuity programme and we look forward to hearing from you.

Our success is delivered by our people. We believe that a diverse and supportive environment, bringing different perspectives to our work and allowing people to thrive, is the best platform for cutting-edge research and excellent teaching and operational support.

The post is offered on a permanent, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.
