Applications are invited for the post of Employability Officewithin the Careers and Employability Service. The successful candidate will be joining a large service which is committed to working together to combine the skills, insights and experience of teams working directly with students, academics, employers and other stakeholders, with those of our enabling teams to develop and deliver a consistently high level of service and professional standards.

The Employability Officer will be central to engaging students in careers and employability services and events via various channels of promotion and liaison. The post holder will also arrange workshops, employer events, information presentations and work with relevant student societies and clubs, including engaging with the Students’ Union.

The post-holder will work across 2 teams within the department, (the Arts faculty team and the Professional Services Partnerships team) to deliver general high-level administration and will be encouraged to contribute to the development of new initiatives and developments. This would give the post-holder experience communicating with students in a specific faculty as well as students from any discipline involved in extracurricular activities. The Careers and Employability Service, Faculty and University has links to employers across a broad range of sectors and the role holder will be expected to be involved, sharing sector insights and expertise and developing opportunities for the students. The role will involve occasional evening and weekend work, according to the needs of the service.

If you are excited by the opportunity that this role presents and are keen to play a key role in shaping the future success of the Careers and Employability Service, we look forward to hearing from you.
