Catering Assistant - Delivered Catering
About the role/team:
Working with the Delivered Catering & Events Teams based at University Park - The main duties include the delivery and collection of buffets and beverages for a wide range of functions. You will be required to prepare equipment boxes for delivery, set up events, serve food & refreshments, clear tables, pot washing, providing excellent customer service at all times. The ideal candidate needs to have good organisational skills and some experience working in a similar fast-paced food service environment, but full training will be given. Due to the frequency with which the person will be required to drive a range of vehicles, including transit vans, a full, current driving licence is also essential for this role.
Experience of working in a similar fast paced food service environment and excellent customer service skills are required for this role. Due to the frequency with which the person will be required to drive a range of vehicles including transit vans between university sites Full UK Category B driving licence is required with no automatic-only restriction (code 78). Candidates must be able to drive manual cars and small vans.

Hours of work:
This is a permanent position offered on Full Time basis: (36.25 hours per week), 5 days out of 7 to be arranged working a range of shifts between 7.00am and 10.00pm including regular weekends. Flexibility will be required. This position is offered on a permanent basis.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend induction training courses which will run each month, Monday to Friday on University Park Campus. Further details will be given at interview. The interviews for these posts are informal and will take no longer than 20 minutes.
