The Halls Management Department at the University of Nottingham are responsible for the student Halls of Residence across University Park and Jubilee Campus and manage over 4500 student bedrooms employing over 150 staff. 

We are looking for an experienced, creative and professional Hospitality specialist to lead the operation and strategic planning of the Halls of Residence across our UK University Campuses.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver an exceptional customer service provision across all areas of responsibility managing profitability and identifying opportunities for improving revenue while creating and maintaining a ‘continuous improvement’ ethos amongst the team. You will be part of shaping the strategic direction of the area and will recommend and implement operational changes to improve the customer and student experience.  You will provide expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders and will oversee the delivery of any business opportunities with operational managers and third parties, testing new products and project managing changes to ensure timescales and deliverables are met.

Candidates should hold a Professional qualification or relevant degree plus have substantial relevant managerial experience in hospitality and conferencing or have a proven track record of relevant extensive work experience demonstrating significant expertise in a similar establishment or hospitality environment. Experience of managing and motivating large diverse teams and managing large budgets is also essential for this role.

This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
