Salary:  £22,149 to £24,948 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

An opportunity has arisen for two Technicians for the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, based at the Sutton Bonington Campus. The persons appointed will be working in a busy research environment which carries out high impact research within the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. You will be supporting both research and teaching through the delivery of logistical and operational support within the team. As a member of the team your role will allow the safe and effective use of the laboratories. You will plan your own work schedule to meet demands for routine work.

Candidates should possess 2 A levels in relevant subjects, plus some experience in a relevant area or considerable relevant experience. Demonstrated understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures, and experience in stores or customer service-based environments is essential. The post will require flexibility, dynamism, energy and initiative, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.  The successful candidates will take a positive and flexible approach to work in order to deal with a variety of requests and tasks.

There are two permanent, full-time roles available (36.25 hours per week). Arrangements for job share would be considered.
