As part of the University of Nottingham Apprenticeship Program, we have an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration within our HR department. The role will be offered on a hybrid basis, working from home and in the office based at the King’s Meadow Campus. If you are looking for the first step in your career, this is a great opportunity, and we look forward to hearing from you.

You will be working in a friendly team environment where you will develop your business administration knowledge and gain hands-on experience that will support your future career. You will be providing administrative support to HR colleagues and the wider University, with your positive attitude and self-motivation. You will be communicating with colleagues via email, telephone or MS Teams and, therefore, you should be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. You should be well organised, proactive and willing to learn with great attention to detail. In return, we will support your development and put in place a personal training programme to help you progress in your career.

You should have (or be predicted to achieve) five GCSEs (or equivalent), including mathematics and English at Grades A-C/9-4. You should be able to demonstrate good IT skills and have the ability to use the Microsoft Office package.

To apply for this post, you will need to satisfy the requirements of the Government’s Apprenticeship Scheme (https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/business-administrator/).

This is a full-time apprenticeship (36.25 hours per week), with 20% off-the-job training to complete your studies. Normal working hours will be between 9.00 am - 5.15 pm Monday to Friday inclusive, however, flexibility may be required at times. Please note that your initial induction will take place within our office at the King’s Meadow Campus.  This post will be offered on a fixed-term basis for a period of 18 months. Subject to satisfactory performance and successful completion of the apprenticeship, you may be offered a permanent employment as an Administrator (Level 2) within the HR Central Support Services Team.
