Salary:  £40,521 to £56,021 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious academic to join our team at the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, Faculty of Engineering. 

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a knowledge of curriculum development and subject expertise to deliver exceptional student experience and satisfaction.  

The successful candidate will be joining a top 100 department/school of architecture in the world according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023, which positions us as 5th in the UK. We are ranked within the top 10 departments/schools of architecture in the UK in all major guides (Times Good University Guide and the Complete University Guide), and 1st department for buildings in the UK according to the Complete University Guide 2024.  

We are looking for someone able to build on our existing strengths and excellent reputation, develop our offer and extend our profile, both domestically and internationally. You should have proven design and/or professional experience, passion and enthusiasm for teaching, and an ability to lead study groups and contribute to part 3 delivery. Applications are welcomed from candidates with an established track record of leadership in practice or academia, and/or ability to deliver professional practice-based projects.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (between 14.5 and 21.75 hours per week).
